The 5 News Elements

The last two days we studied the 5 elements that are used by news people to choose a news story. 
Today you will see a few news stories and you will decide which news elements fit which story.

1.  PROMINENCE -  Story deals with A FAMOUS or WELL-KNOWN PERSON
2.  PROXIMITY -  Story is LOCAL.  It happens CLOSE or NEARBY.
3.  TIMELINESS - Story happens NOW.
4.  CONSEQUENCES - Story effects MANY PEOPLE.
5.  HUMAN INTEREST - Story has CONFLICT or DRAMA or STRONG EMOTIONS.
