Assignment 6: Public Service Annoucement

Public Service Announcements are like commercials, but instead of selling "things" like an IPOD or a car, a public service announcement (or PSA) sells an idea.  During the next few days you will design your own PSA.  The first step is picking a topic:

After you select your topic you need to find 4-5 facts about that topic.  If the topic is No Smoking for example, you might find these kinds of facts:


1.  700,000 people smoke in this country.
2.  Smoking causes lung cancer in more than 60% of the people who smoke.
3.  500,000 people die every year from second-hand smoke.
4.  Smoking leaves odors in clothes and furniture.


Some of the facts you find you may use, some you may not.  Start doing research on your PSA topic. Use the sheet below to list your topic and the 4-5 facts you find on the topic.
